Makarska

Situated in the bay made of two peninsulas, St. Peter and Osejava, is rich with cultural and historical legacy coming from the ancient times.

Makarska

Of significant value is the Malacology museum located in the Franciscan monastery with interesting and unique collection from the Adriatic and world seas. It was founded by Jure Radic in 1963 and it is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world.

Athletes and recreationists have at their disposal numerous options, for sports on land as well as for those at sea. Vepric, the sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, placed in a beautiful cave surrounded by pine-forest is located two kilometers from the center of Makarska.

Biokovo Mountain, Natural Park with its highest peak St.George (1762m) stretches behind Makarska Riviera. 

Baska Voda

Baska Voda, small town and harbor in Makarska Littoral is located 8.5km northwest of Makarska. Its economy is based on agriculture, fishing trade and tourism. The most cultivated are olives, grapes, black cherries and figs. Its wooded surrounding and gravel-beaches brought about intensive development of tourism.

Baška Voda

It was inhabited in the ancient times. There are traces of settlement and Byzantine fort Bistona of late antiquity on a high ground Gradina. On the south side of the high ground a part of defensive walls was preserved, and on the north side are several stelas from the 2-4th ct. which are kept in the Archeological museum in Split. The late-baroque church of St.Lawrence was most probably built on an antique site. The parish church of St.Nicholas was built at the beginning of the 20th ct.; in 1991 church-tower and parish house were built as an annex on the basis of the project of architect Ante Rozic.

Inside the church you can find stained-glass windows of Josip Botteri-Dini and painted stations of the Way of the Cross by Josip Biffel dating in 1989.

Brela

Owing to thick pine-forest, beautiful beaches, clear sea, springs of running water it has been known for a few decades now as one of the most attractive tourist places of Dalmatia. They are remarkable for extraordinary beautiful and thick pine-forest, situated next to beautiful gravel-beaches, romantic and beautifully decorated waterside-promenade, famous sea dishes restaurants.

Brela

The trademark of Brela, and also one of the most photographed and most famous motives on the Adriatic is the Brela Stone, next to Punta rata beach which is one of the first beaches in Croatia to receive the Blue flag.
Besides enjoying in bathing, Brela offers various possibilities for sports and recreation: tennis, bowling, minigolf, table tennis, water sports.
Restaurants offer specialties of home and international cuisine.

Tucepi

Small town in Makarska Littoral located 4km southeast of Makarska.
Its economy is based on agriculture and tourism. The marine is protected from winds by an outer breakwater; the operational coast is 40m long.

Tučepi

They were inhabited in the ancient times. Parts of furniture of early Christian church from 5-6th ct. and several medieval tombstones were found in the cemetery. The settlement is mentioned under its present name in 1434. The church of St.George was built in the transitional Romanesque-Gothic style at the end of the 13th ct. In the 18th ct., Ivanisevic and Lucic-Pavlovic, families of Makarska are building baroque villas next to sea; summer house of abbot Grubisic is today hotel Kastelet. In the small village Pasalici there is a renaissance church of St. Michael and church of St. Catherine.
